inhale

Have you ever asked yourself:
What is the value of a single breath?

exhale

Air is invisible.

Hard to see.

Hard to value.

inhale

But it can no longer remain unseen.

exhale

Too hot not to feel it.

Too dense not to sense it.

Too vital to ignore.

inhale

We are here to remember this truth:

exhale

Breath is a temporary pact
of volatile exchange
between the animal and plant kingdoms.

inhale

The outcome of photosynthesis.

exhale

The first communication between species,

and perhaps the last.

More than language.

More than metaphor.

Auraforest

digital library of lost scents

exists to restore our somatic memory

exhale

Sensory.

Ecological.

Emotional.

Memories stored in our bodies.

inhale

To embody respect.

To recall scents long forgotten.

exhale

Too easily forgotten.

inhale

While scientists labour

exhale

to revive lost species,

to cool the planet,

to rebuild conditions gentle enough for a single human breath,

inhale

we are here.

exhale

Here, in this archive of belonging.

Here, listening to the biochemical conversations of plants,

fungi, bacteria, and insects.

inhale

Because if we cannot understand what was lost

exhale

while sensing,

while imagining,

while remembering

inhale

we will never remember that we are one

exhale

Living. Loving. Fighting. Smelling. Chatting.

inhale

A breathing organism.
