Breath is a temporary pact
of volatile exchange
between the animal and plant kingdoms.

The outcome of photosynthesis.

The first communication between species, 

and perhaps the last. 

More than language. 

More than metaphor.

Auraforest 

digital library of lost scents

exists to restore our somatic memory

Sensory. 

Ecological.

Emotional. 

Memories stored in our bodies.

To embody respect. 

To recall scents long forgotten.

Too easily forgotten.

While scientists labour

to revive lost species, 

to cool the planet, 

to rebuild conditions gentle enough for a single human breath,

Here, listening to the biochemical conversations of plants, 

fungi, bacteria, and insects.
